LP Therapy NYC
I’m a New York based psychotherapist practicing at Brooklyn Somatic Therapy. My practice is integrative, trauma-informed, and rooted in psychodynamic psychotherapy. I am passionate about the mind-body connection and helping clients become more attuned to their bodies, emotions, and needs. Whether you’re struggling with complex trauma, depression, anxiety, challenges in your interpersonal relationships, or simply feeling disconnected from yourself and your internal world, I’m committed to supporting you on your journey. I offer in person and virtual sessions for individuals and couples. I am currently accepting new clients in New York and have both daytime and evening sessions available.
Services
Individual Therapy
I work with individuals with a history of trauma, mood disorders, personality disorders, and relationship issues. I also have experience working with individuals in the peri- and post-natal periods as well as individuals with disordered eating and body image concerns. I help clients feel more connected to their authentic selves and their bodies and develop more peace in their lives.
Couple’s Therapy
I work with couples to help them deepen their emotional connection, improve communication, and strengthen their relationship. My approach focuses on prioritizing the relationship itself as my client and fostering understanding and empathy between partners, allowing them to navigate challenges together with greater trust and openness. I support couples in identifying and healing relational patterns, building stronger foundations, and creating a more secure and fulfilling partnership.
Mind-Body Connection
“We must learn to listen to and trust our body’s internal wisdom, as it holds the key to our healing.” - Peter Levine
Somatic therapy is a holistic approach to healing and self-discovery that merges the mind-body connection. By integrating talk therapy with body-centered practices and mindfulness, it allows you to engage with the various parts of yourself that harbor emotional wounds. As you delve into your embodied self—the conscious awareness of your body’s sensations and emotional landscape—you’ll access valuable insights and develop compassion for these inner parts. This journey encourages new ways of feeling and being, fostering meaningful and enduring change in both your emotional and physical well-being.
